We have reached one thousand preregistrations during today's morning. This means that the number of interested users is already higher than the number of manufactured devices.
However, in case you are interested in taking part and have not registered yet, do not hesitate to do so. The preregistration is not binding, so it is possible that some users before you will decide not to participate in the end.
Project Turris, formerly known under the temporary name "CZ.NIC router", launched its official website. Besides information about the project, it also offers preregistration of interested users.
After a few long weeks since the start of manufacture, we have the first prototypes of our router in hand. It is the first tangible result of our effort in the area of hardware development, and we all look at it with awe.
Because it is necessary to program the low-level functions necessary for the system to start, we do not yet know if it would run. We will post more information on this website, once we know more. Keep your fingers crossed.
The following pictures show Tomáš Rykl, our lead hardware developer, holding one of the boards of the first prototype of our router presently arrived from manufacture.
The rest of the manufactured boards are already in the process of assembly. Because of the number of components, it will take some time.
