Second live stream from Turris Academy series was screened at 31st March. Topic of this lecture was virtual private networks (aka VPNs) and OpenVPN usage on Turris devices.

Turris launches an online course called Turris Academy. You can look forward to streaming examples, manuals, and lectures about Turris devices and software.

Everyone loves swag. We do as well. On every conference people are always looking to get some T-shirts, buttons or anything with our brand on it. We even get requests from time to time on our support whether we can sell a T-shirt and send it around the globe. It would be possible in theory, we could setup a shop selling nice T-shirts, but we want to focus on our main goal - making updates to make your routers even better and more secure. Thus we decided to let somebody else help us with T-shirts and various other swag that we even haven't tried producing yet. Company behind it can produce various items and send them wherever you are. We hope this makes our T-shirts and other items much easier to obtain and you wouldn't have to wait for the next conference and travel to Europe to get a Turris pin for your new shirt.

If you like Turris and you have an idea how to help us or you just want a special feature or hack, which you think might be interesting for the rest of the community, you can always contribute code. Turris OS is open software, which means that anyone who is able and willing can contribute. Our documentation features an article with a few hints on where and how to contribute. We truly value each contributor and contribution. 

If you don’t feel like coding, but you still want to help our project, another valued way to contribute is to take part in testing new Turris releases. Release Candidate is a system build, which we are currently considering releasing and we frequently ask our community to help us test it. You can easily do that by switching to the RC branch as described in this short article. After you have switched to RC, you can check if your favorite functions still work the way they should and in case they don’t, write to us at tech.support@turris.cz.

We developed the Turris router interface in English and we use Czech as the reference localization language. If you want, you can be now a part of the translation of the Foris interface to any other language. How to do it?
