HDD za HUBem

Pro rozšíření USB portů jsem k Turrískovi doplnil USB HUB a sekundární HDD jsem připojil právě jeho prostřednictvím. Nyní se však HDD nepřimountují, jak je to možné? Kde může být chyba?

Mh, asi máte pravdu. Toto už jsem řešil s panem Strbačkou, při ručním mountování HDD funguje. Tenkrát jsem to vyřešil tak, že 5 TB HDD mountuji nakonec startu skriptem v /etc/init.d. Jediný rozdíl oproti původnímu stavu je, že 5 TB HDD se hlásí jako sda a bude tedy přimountován jako první, což se nepodaří no a na druhý už bohužel asi nedojde.

Řešil jsem něco podobného:
1. 2 x HDD 4TB RAID 1 SATA multiplicator - OK - mount OK
2. 2 x HDD 4TB RAID 0 SATA multiplicator - FAILED - mount failed
3. 4 x HDD 3TB SATA > USB 3.0 > USB HUB 2.0 > FAILED - mount failed
4. 4 X HDD 3TB SATA > USB 3.0 > USB HUB 3.0 > OK - mount OK

Původně jsem chtěl zakoupit řadič USB 3.0 > mPCIE, bohužel cca 700,- za 2x USB 3.0 - malá přidaná hodnota
Nakonec vyhrál SATA řadič do mPCIE + multiplicator (5 x sata) - pořídím ještě 2 x 4TB HDD - na pátým portu budu asi pouštět vinyly :lol:

I would think 3.2 kernels would be new enough to have advanced format support & and large block devices support on per default...
One of these options might be needed for the kernel:

Je to skutečně tak, problém je způsoben velkým HDD. Pokud ho odpojím a nechám připojený jen sekundární prostřednictvím USB HUBu, tak se vše chová normálně.

Jen pro zajímavost: WRT 15 na Netgear ??? 4300 > mount 5TB HDD = OK (na usb hubu 3.0)

Ještě dotaz: v syslogu máš také následující hlášku nebo ne? Je divné, že HDD ručně (mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/5TB) primountovat jde ale fstab nebo skriptem v init.d se to nepodaří. Je to otrava po každém restartu znovu připojovat.

Ten stroj nemám doma > zákazník. Od instalace, cca 2 měs. ale žádná reklamace nebyla. Běží tam 15.05 Chaos Calmer a mount po bootu proběhl normálně, tzn. v logu o Very big device ani zmínka.

EDIT: Ověřeno, HDD funkční bez chyby v logu.

Smart data sice nemám, ale je to ext4. Chtěl jsem tam udělat swap oddíl, ale nechtěl se mountovat.

Přesně tak. Tuto systémovou partition nemá ráda spousta systémů. Odstranit a nově naformátovat, jiné cesty není. Pod Windows se to udělá prostřednictvím příkazu Diskpart.
